The MTAA’s membership year starts July 1st and ends June 30th, so it is important that you select the correct application button to start the application process. If you are unsure of which application button to select at this time, please call the MTAA office Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 4 PM at 403-340-1913.
If you are looking for membership to start July 1, 2026, or later, you must use the following application button to apply.
Please note that we can only accept applications 90 days prior to your desired date of activation.
If you are looking for membership between April and June 2026, the following are the monthly cut offs for membership activation.

If your education does not meet the requirements for MTAA Active Membership, we encourage you to review the option to apply through MTAA Substantial Equivalency.
